USCG LICENSED ABLE BODY SEAMAN and ORDINARY SEAMAN PLUS OIL SPILL RESPONDER
Summary: C-Port Marine Services, LLC is accepting resumes for Able Body Seaman, Ordinary Seaman PLUS Oil Spill Responder to work out of Key West, Florida.

Candidates must possess a USCG Merchant Mariner’s Document for Able Body Seaman or Ordinary Seaman and STCW certification. Must have experience in dock operations. Prefer candidates with Port Operations experience.
Oil Spill Responder utilizes basic tools, cranes, material handling equipment and seamanship skills as part of the Facility Response Team (FRT) for hazardous materials and oil spills. Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response 40-Hour Training (HAZWOPER) Training plus OSHA 8 hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Annual Refresher Training required.
Candidates must have experience in routine vessel operations, plus the following:
Preventative / corrective maintenance Deck repairs and modifications Engineering repairs Shipboard safety measures (firefighting, basic first-aid and emergency shipboard systems) Candidates must also have experience in deck department operations and underway watch standing.
Individual should hold or complete the following training requirements :
40 hour Facility Response Team Training 8 hour FRT Annual Refresher 32 hour OSHA HAZWOPER 8 hour Annual HAZWOPER Refresher FEMA ICS LEVEL 100,200,700,800 NAVEDTRA 43195 OSR PQS USCG MMD, NAVY Second Class Swimmer or USCG BST Swimmer’s Cert
Education and/or Experience:
Oil spill responder experience highly desred. USCG licensure as an Able Body Seaman or Ordinary Seaman with STCW certification OR comparable military vessel experience. TWIC card required. First aid certification required. Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response 40-Hour Training (HAZWOPER) Training plus OSHA 8 hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Annual Refresher Training required. Military experience a plus. Must be US Citizen and have or be able to obtain a confidential security clearance.
